Three months have elapsed since we launched Embark. We've processed thousands of applications, onboarded over fifty team members, moved into our own space within Stockholm's historic heart, and started building the first game that embodies our vision.

In anticipation of this update, let me share a few key decisions made so far as well as an insight into what's on the horizon.

The initial weeks saw the six founders gathering in a borrowed tiny room to tackle fundamental tasks like staffing up, securing office space, setting up our website and managing paperwork. But remarkably quickly, our core team coalesced around a game concept that ignited our enthusiasm a collaborative free-to-play action title set in a distant future, challenging players with overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds through teamwork.

As we navigate this eavor, many elements of the first game might change or evolve as we progress. Nonetheless, I can provide an early glimpse: it's about cooperative gameplay that fosters unity and strategic alliances among players, striving agnst daunting challenges in a futuristic setting.

After evaluating various options, we have decided to develop this title using Unreal Engine, complemented by our proprietary technology. The excitement from our team as they explore the engine's capabilities is palpable, with promising strides being made.

A recent terrn test illustrates Unreal’s immense potential: showcasing high-definition visuals across a vast landscape of 256 square kilometers, complete with dynamic weather and lighting effectsall accomplished by just five developers.

Our journey at Embark Studios continues to unfold under the guidance of our CEO and co-founder, Patrick S?derlund. Stay tuned for future updates as we advance toward crafting immersive experiences that unite players worldwide.
